Trustin Baker, Missouri fiddler

  1. Trustin is a fine fiddler, however, its in my opinion he is not an Old-time fiddler. Almost all his tunes are very "Texas Style" or "Competition style"

  2. Not to quibble but I labeled him a "Missouri Fiddler". He fits that description and this blog is not ultra exclusive in it's OT content as some BG will slip in on occasion.

  3. His versions of Sugar Tree Stomp and Grassy Fiddle Blues are not TX style at all. They are pure Kenny Baker. His contest tunes like Sally Goodin etc are definatly TX style as that is what wins. Either way he is exceptional for his young age. Has great wrist and ear. See nothing but stars in his future.
